Frodsham Group Lunch – 26^th Feb – Restaurant

 Hello Tracey

Sorry for delay in getting back to you but I wanted to wait until we had held our next Meeting, before replying. Feedback from members was very good---menu and standard of catering seemed to please everyone. The small touches like extra gravy and de-caff tea were much appreciated. Bearing in mind  some of our members' age and mobility,  parking and access to the dining room is particularly important when considering a booking for such a large group.Forest Hills scores several stars on this aspect!  Being able to seat everyone around  circular tables adds to the sociability of the occasion.So thank you  again  to everyone for your hospitality--you will probably see us again next year!

Group Conference – 11^th – 13^th March – Vale Royal Suite

Sorry I missed you yesterday, I left in a bit of a hurry after our debrief meeting to try to get home to do the school run.  Thank you for all you did to help everything run so smoothly.  As always the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, helpful and welcoming and we have received a great many comments to this effect so I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to all concerned.

Thanks for making the booking for 15-16 July, I will pass this confirmation on to Phil.

Once again, thanks for all your hard work – we’ll do it all again next year!

Lunch – Saturday 2^nd Feb – Restaurant

Hi Tracey

It was a lovely day and everything worked perfectly. The buffet was great and the soup went down a treat. Everyone loved the cake, it looked splendid and, even better, it was very tasty. The star as far as Mario was concerned was the music. He loves throwing  himself around a dance floor and spent almost the whole two hours wearing out the shoe leather. 

Mario did not have a clue. I think the correct term is he was gobsmacked.

So all in all it was a great success. Thank you for all your efforts and please pass on our thanks to all the hotel team involved. They looked after us extremely well. I would certainly recommend the hotel to any friends and family.

Gourmet Night – Sat 23^rd Feb

Hi Tracey,

Mum and dad are off for a holiday in Pitlochry, so the pleasant task of saying thank you for another excellent gourmet night falls to me this time.  The meal was magnificent, special mention for the caramelita ice cream, which mum fell in love with (she would love a whole vat of it all to herself).

As usual, a very warm welcome from all, the pride you all take in the hotel and the service is a delight to see, you should all be very proud of yourselves.  Special mention to the receptionist, who gave such a warm and chatty welcome, dad completely forgot to order any newspapers for Sunday morning, and also to Grace in the restaurant, for remembering, despite all the faces she'd served the night before, that she was seating us for breakfast at the same table.  Small touches but you really do leave feeling that your custom is valued!

Looking forward to seeing you all in April for the birthday party.

Its good of you to ask. Yes I am well and yes we did have a good evening. The fish course was scallops and they were cooked perfectly, were very sweet and went well with the pea puree and pea shoots. The main course of lamb was equally good, as was the accompanying red wine. The young waiting staff were brilliant once again and whoever trains them needs to be complimented.

My wife and I very much enjoyed the evening and our stay with you, we have stayed on these evening before and the quality of food and presentation of staff etc was exceptional. 

We stayed in room 218 and feel it has had a revamp recently, the cleanliness and overall quality was again exceptional all you have to do now is change the colour of the bathroom suite. 

All the best we will be returning.

Thank you so much for arranging it all, it was perfect and we all had a lovely time.  Both the meal and the service was excellent, my Mum was over the moon with it all. 

Nick is 30 in May so I will probably be in touch soon to arrange something again.  I was thinking of maybe having dinner there and then staying over, do you have any packages available at all for this?  His birthday is on Monday 6^th May so it would be for that day.

Conference – 28^th Feb – Vale Royal Suite

Everything went really well yesterday except another 8/9 didn’t turn up – very annoying.

Many thanks for organising it, the lay out was perfect, the food and drink were excellent as was the service. I even managed to take some food back for the guys at work – they were over the moon. The round tables worked really well, we will probably go for that arrangement again.

Many thanks again and I am sure we will be booking something again in the near future.

We had a brill time thank you, and the treatment was fantastic. Mandy (i think thats her name) was brilliant, was so relaxed i fell asleep, it was just what the doctor ordered. we have decided to save up and do it again in a few months when we are both not working. (or get called in work again !!). all the staff was so helpful, and the food was very, very good. My hat off to you all.
 I got engaged at xmas and we are looking for somewere so we will be giving you a call. My mate got married there in 2011.  they had the whole day there. and we stayed over. And i must say it was a perfect day.

It was fab and the room was great!food was lovely and the staff were more than helpful! I couldn't have asked for anything more! My mum was actually thinking of enquiring booking the room for her parents 60th wedding anniversary, how many guests does that room take? 

Restaurant Dinner Dance –  75^th Party – Friday 20^th July

Hi Tracey,

We all had a lovely evening on Friday 20th July, we found the rooms lovely, the leisure facilities were great, we all enjoyed a swim in the afternoon.  The evening itself was really nice, the staff were very attentive to my Mum who enjoyed being thoroughly spoilt!!  It's a long time since I have had such a lovely breakfast in a Hotel, really hot and the staff very polite.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you all for helping to make my Mum's 75th Birthday so special.  We will definitely be coming again.

The staff where so friendly and helpful the set up was brilliant food was gorgeous thanks for making our day so memorable we will definitely recommend your hotel too friends. The whole family where really impressed with their stay at the weekend. We are currently on our honeymoon in Tunisia enjoying the sun and cocktails.

50^th Birthday Celebrations – Sunday 29^th July – Overton Suite

Hi Tracey,

I would have sent this earlier, but have been a way for a few days, so just coming back down to earth.

Just wanted to say a huge “ Thank You “  to all the staff at Forest Hill’s for a fabulous party last Sunday, I had a great time and so did all of my guests, I have completed the questionnaire so hopefully you will all receive some recognition for that.

We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night (12 of us)  and it was fabulous, I did not book until late, but the staff were very accommodating and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Again if you can pass on my thanks to the reception staff, bar staff and restaurant staff, I had a great birthday party!

 

Wedding – Friday 3^rd August – Overton Suite

We both had a fab day, could not fault the Forest Hills and their staff at all!!!  It was a good choice to have our special day at your hotel.  All the guests enjoyed themselves and were praising the staff at the hotel!!

Spa Package – Saturday 11^th August

Thank you for your email today, we had a fantastic weekend thank you, excellent customer service throughout the hotel, first class food and the massage and facial were fab… don’t know what I have been doing for the last 42 years of my life as this was my first ever massage but I certainly won’t be waiting another 42 years for my next one, not now I know what I have been missing out on, the massage was amazing and I think me and Gordon are going to book in for a spa day with treatments sometime in autumn as it is his birthday in November so will be returning.

The service in the restaurant was second to none and the food was excellent, can’t fault anything and so glad we booked our wedding here for next year. The “spa” ladies were fantastic and was one of the best hour and half’s of my life, would recommend to anyone.

Kieran allowed us a late check out and even when I returned with my dad last night for Sunday evening meal Elaine was so very helpful.  Please pass on my thanks to you and to everyone.

Wedding – Friday 24^th August – Overton Suite

We both had an amazing day.
Thank you for being accommodating and changing things around towards the end, and to you and Tracey for your friendly and efficient responses to our questions.
Also the staff and 'MC' on the evening were really efficient.  There were also a couple of nice subtle touches in our room, which we enjoyed.  I was also able to move directly between my 'bachelor' room, which I stayed in the night before to the "honeymoon" sweet because the staff were able to arrange for the room to be cleaned quickly.
Everything went without a hitch, especially since last week would have been especially difficult for you with Weddings on evenings before and after ours.

Wedding – Saturday 25^th August – Overton Suite

Hi Tracey,

My wife and I would just like to say a massive thanks to you and all the staff at forest hills. We could not fault anything if we tried. Our whole day was perfect. We would not change a thing. We are so pleased we chose forest hills. The rooms were immaculate, the breakfast was mouthwateringly good ( if that's even a word! ) the spa was amazing, just wish we could have spent more time in there! As for the staff, they are without a doubt the friendliest staff we have ever come across. We would be very grateful if you could pass this on to them, Bob was fantastic. As for Maggie, what can i say... she was the saviour of our special day and can not put into words just how grateful we are to her. 

We are already planning to stay again and make the most of the spa, hopefully beginning of October, so are already looking forward to seeing you all again.

Thanks for your email. Sorry I missed you when I left, but everything was brilliant and as ever Forest Hills team were really friendly, helpful and generous in spirit.

I have been working on a national project this year and have spent half my life in hotels it seems. I have to be honest and say that if someone offered me a free weekend in any that I have stayed at I would choose Forest Hills (apart from it being too near to home for a weekend away). To me the key thing is that sense of feeling you are welcomed and valued – I think FH has got that balance just right the sort of “unobtrusive attentiveness” and a sense of going the extra mile.

The food and service were great and the view makes it all worth it.  

Thanks again for looking after us so brilliantly – everyone wants to come back next year!

Hi Charlotte,

We both had an amazing day last Sunday. Apart from the weather things could not have gone any better.

The ceremony room and the Overton suite both looked lovely when they were all set out.

Kieran ( hope thats spelt right) was so helpful and friendly on the day and helped to put us all at ease, although as everyone keeps saying I was a very calm bride, finishing off some chocolate 10 minutes beforehand!

Elaine, the duty manager on the Saturday was also very helpful when we arrived on the Saturday afternoon.

The one thing I had been worried about was the evening buffet, but that was great too. There was plenty of choice and loads of food for everyone.

Thank you all so much for helping to make our day so perfect.

Thank you, we both loved it from start to finish, all the guests loved it too, the food was amazing, dj was brilliant, all the staff were friendly and helpful... We couldn't of asked for more!

Kieran was one of the nicest men we have both ever met, all our guests commented on how nice they thought he was, he never left my side in case I needed anything.

Thank you for all of you help in the run up to the wedding too, you've been fab, really help full!

We will definitely be coming back.

Were off to spain at 3am in the morning, can't wait!

Thank you everything went very well thank you, the ladies that had the spa treatments were very pleased and the ones that joined us for the evening meal were impressed by the delicious food. When I returned to work today everyone was asking if we had enjoyed our weekend and they were very jealous and also surprised at the good value for money.

I will certainly be returning to the hotel in the future.
